Grapefruit, grapefruit, grapefruit! With this easy-to-make Triple Grapefruit Fizz drink, you'll combine grapefruit vodka, fresh grapefruit juice, and grapefruit seltzer for one delicious citrus co*cktail.

Triple Grapefruit Fizz Drink Recipe | We are not Martha (1)

(This recipe for Triple Grapefruit Fizz drinks was originally published in March 2013, but was updated with new photos and content in 2020).

Attention, attention... this co*cktail is for grapefruit lovers only. Seriously, if you're not into the slightly tart citrus fruit, stay far, far away. But if you're a grapefruit lover like I am, you're going to be seriously obsessed with this triple grapefruit fizz drink.

I've been loving this co*cktail in the summer months, but since grapefruit is a winter fruit, as well, it can really be enjoyed all year round!

co*cktail Ingredients

Yes, I call this drink a triple grapefruit co*cktail... meaning there's 3 kinds of grapefruit goodness in it, including:

  • Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
  • Grapefruit vodka
  • Grapefruit seltzer

Ingredient Substitutes

I've made this drink many times over the years and I can assure you if you don't have all three of the ingredients, you can easily make some substitutions. My most common substitution is to use plain vodka instead of grapefruit vodka.

You can also use a plain seltzer if you don't have grapefruit seltzer.

Of course, if you substitute out the vodka or seltzer, you'll have to call this co*cktail a "double" grapefruit fizz... But I won't tell anyone!

And if you don't have fresh grapefruits on hand, you can certainly use store-bought grapefruit juice. I always think fresh is better, but there are some delicious 100% fruit juice options.

Triple Grapefruit Fizz Drink Recipe

Since pink grapefruit is the best, I decided to give my co*cktail glass a pink sugar rim. You can obviously skip this step; it just adds a fun little pizazz to the co*cktail!

If you're using the sugar, place it on a small plate. Rim your glass with a little grapefruit juice and set glass upside down in the sugar.

Triple Grapefruit Fizz Drink Recipe | We are not Martha (2)

In an ice-filled co*cktail shaker, add 2 oz. freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and 2 oz. grapefruit vodka. Shake well and pour into ice-filled co*cktail glass. Top with 2 0z. grapefruit seltzer (you can add more seltzer if you want).

A little grapefruit wedge garnish accents the pink sugar well. Which is always a plus.

This recipe makes only one co*cktail, but it's obviously super easy to multiply. Which you'll certainly want to do if you love your family and friends.

Bonus points for the fact that this triple grapefruit fizz drink will get you a full day's worth of Vitamin C. I love a co*cktail that also provides me with some nutritional value.

Especially a pretty pink one.

I too an a grapefruit seltzer addict (though sadly I've never found Polar in Chicago). I started during pregnancy as a diet co*ke alternative, hooked my husband and still today we drink an obscene amount if "spicy water" (my daughters term...the fizz is spicy to her I guess). I've used it to make virgin mimosas but your co*cktail sounds dangerously good. Will be giving it a whirl!

  129. Deanna Segrave-Daly says

  133. Lena says

HOW am I just now seeing this?? I need to try this over my vacation ... (and I also need Polar to be available in the Midwest ... Can you get Orson on that please??)

Side note, I STILL think/dream about the eggnog seltzer!!
