Sweeten definitely seems to have liked being on Everybody Loves Raymond, though. In 1999, she was interviewed for The Martin Short Show, and an adorable video can be found on YouTube. At that time, she was eight years old and said that she loved making art.

Sweeten has always been creative. When she was 26, she attended California's Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, according to Country Living. She posted a photo of school supplies, including sheets of paper and a calculator, on her Instagram in January 2017 and wrote in the caption, "Getting first week homework done like it ain't no thang/"

According to The Wrap, Sweeten also sued someone in 2015. She alleged that Bryan James contacted her and said that he would like her to act in a web TV show called Youthful Daze. He also wanted her to put some money up for the project.

Part of the deal was that Sweeten would be able to be involved in creative decisions like who would be acting in the project. Sweeten said yes and then, according to The Wrap, she realized that he went back on his word.

She wanted at least $28,020. The Wrap included an update on the story and explained that the attorney representing James said that everything that Sweeten said was incorrect.

TMZ reported in March 2016 that Bryan James wanted Madylin Sweeten to give him $1.5 million. He said that she made him look bad with the lawsuit. There is no news about what ended up happening here, though.

Today, Madylin Sweteen is married to Sean Durrie. There are many photos of her husband on her Instagram account, @bettyboopgurl. She shared photos from their honeymoon, which took place in 2022.

In 2019, Madylin Sweeten talked about her backstory in an interview with Voyage LA. She explained that falling in love with her husband helped her find a great community in the Loft Ensemble theater group.

Sweeten said, "As a young woman, living a normal life seemed trivial, useless, and impossible to me.This lead to a quite adventurous lifestyle in my youth. Once my twenties came knocking at my door, I had spent so much time chasing adventures that I had forgotten to take care of my mental health."

She continued that she was "chasing escapes" and "directionless" but "I met a man, a wonderful man, who saw all my flaws and embraced them. Along with him came his boisterous theater company the Loft Ensemble. There I made lasting friendships that turned my life around."

There are two main things that Everybody Loves Raymond fans should know about Madylin Sweeten's life now: she works in the theater and also designs furniture. She shared more about what her life now in her Instagram bio and wrote, "Child Star. Everybody Loves Raymond. Actress. Comedian. Artist. Theater. Cats."

In the summer of 2023, she shared that the play that she has done set design for, Penthesilea, opened. She sounded really proud of what she had done. On July 13th, 2023, she wrote on Instagram, "Penthesilea has its world premiere this Friday and I couldn’t be more excited. It has been a pleasure to bring these stories to life. These women were written out of the history books and we are reviving them. Also, we just look hella bad*ss. Hope to see you there!!!"

While this might seem like a bit of a departure from acting, Madylin Sweeten is still being artistic, and she seems to be happy with her life.
