Athletic Boosters

Your Athletes are learning about teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship and healthy exercise habits while they represent Queen Anne’s County High School all over the Eastern Shore.

The QACHS Athletic Boosters work year round to support the Athletic Programs at Queen Anne’s County High School. Each season, we provide scholarships for our senior athletes. We provide commemorative tee-shirts for all senior athletes. We currently provide approximately $17,000 in Scholarships annually. These Funds are historically derived from Fundraising Activities. With the costs of higher education constantly increasing, we would like to provide more and possibly larger scholarships.

Please join the QACHS Athletic Boosters and support our student athletes. Contact our treasurer for more information.

Band Boosters

The Band Boosters is an organization consisting of parents, guardians, friends, and family of the students participating in the various QACHS band and color guard activities throughout the school year. The overall mission of the Band Boosters is to support and provide volunteer help to all the bands in every way possible. They provide funds, equipment, help, uniforms, transportation, chaperones, and emotional support in order to enable the students to make the most of their band experience.

Meetings

General Meetings: First Thursday of every month (except July and August) at 7:00 p.m. in the Band Room. Anyone with an interest in the QACHS Band programs is welcome and encouraged to attend.
Executive Board Meetings: Occur prior to the General Meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Band Boosters are busy all year long with various projects. The list is endless and we really can’t do it without you! We welcome all volunteers. Examples of volunteer opportunities include:

Fundraising: We usually have at least one fund raising activity each month, even during the summer.

Event Assistance: During the Marching Band season, we follow the band everywhere to events and competitions. Volunteers help with things like loading and unloading equipment, handing out uniforms, setting up props, and helping the pit. They even make repairs when possible and build needed items. We need many volunteers when we host a Tournament of Bands competition for the various jobs that need to be done.

Band Trip: The trip is a big part of what the Boosters help to do each year, giving students from all the bands a chance to visit other cities in the area or travel to wonderful places, compete with students from around the Mid-Atlantic region, and experience being partly on their own for a few days.
Concession Stands: One major source of funds for the Band Boosters is running the concession stand at the QACHS Stadium during home games. Whether it is a football game in the fall or lacrosse in the spring, the Band Boosters are there. We need many volunteers to run the concession stand and we encourage all parents, guardians, family, friends, and students to come join us and help in the stand. It is a busy but fun atmosphere, and the more help we have, the more funds we can make for our band students. Many pieces of new equipment have been purchased due to the hard work in the concession stand.
