Mimosas are my favorite co*cktails for Spring brunches and Summer parties. They are gorgeous, festive and absolutely delicious! Classic mimosa is a mix of champagne (or sparkling wine) and orange juice. I went a step further and turned it into a creamsicle co*cktail by using heavy cream and sugar! It's creamy, refreshing and delicious. Just like the frozen pops!
This Orange Creamsicle Mimosa is made with just 4 ingredients and is perfect for your next party or gathering! Decorate with slices of fresh orange for a festive touch and enjoy!

WHAT IS A MIMOSA?
Mimosa is a co*cktail made with champagne or sparkling wine and a citrus juice. The ratio consists of equal parts of each ingredient. Both should be well chilled before mixing.
WHERE DOES THE NAME MIMOSA COME FROM?
Mimosa is believed to be invented by a bartender from Ritz Hotel in Paris, named Frank Meier. The name comes from a Mimosa flower, a yellow-orange type of shrub that was popular among French gardeners.
HOW TO MAKE ORANGE CREAMSICLE MIMOSA?
To turn the classic mimosa into a co*cktail that tastes like the creamsicle, you will need heavy cream and sugar or sweetened or choice (maple syrup is not recommended). Stir all of the ingredients, except champagne, together to help the sugar dissolve. Divide among serving glasses (like champagne flutes) and top with the bubbly. Garnish with slices of fresh oranges for a festive flair and serve.

Ingredients
- 2 cups chilled orange juice
- 2 tablespoons chilled heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
- 2 cups chilled champagne
Instructions
In a large pitcher, mix orange juice, cream and sugar. Stir well to let the sugar dissolve.
Pour into glasses, dividing equally. Top with champagne and serve immediately.
Notes
This mimosa can be made in a pitcher and served as needed. It is however the best when champagne is added to the orange juice mixture in the glass to make it bubbly.
You can use any sparkling wine in place of champagne.
