Why is Boursin Cheese wrapped in foil?

Our signature foil packaging helps keep the cheese fresh. As an extra bonus, the foil also makes it easy to unwrap and rewrap the cheese, and creates an attractive presentation sitting on a cheeseboard.

How long is Boursin Cheese good for after I open it?

Boursin Cheese will stay good for approximately 5 days after opening, if kept refrigerated and within best before date.

How long past the "best before" date is Boursin Cheese okay to eat?

For best quality, we recommend only eating Boursin Cheese by the date that is printed on the package.

Does Boursin Cheese need to be refrigerated?

Yes, for safety and best quality, Boursin Cheese should be refrigerated at all times, when not being consumed. When serving guests, cheese is safe unrefrigerated for 2-4 hours, and remaining cheese can then be safely returned to the fridge.

What allergens enter your production facility?

Boursin is a traditional cheese made with milk. The only other allergen in our factory are tree nuts. We have stringent measures in place to reduce the risk of these transferring to any other varieties and if this is in doubt we clearly state that the product may contain tree nuts on pack, generally next to the ingredients list.
