Black Cat Stakeouts - Marvel's Spider-Man Guide - IGN (2024)

In Marvel's Spider-Man, Spidey will eventually get word that his frenemy Black Cat, professional thief, is back in town and casing joints for robberies.

Once you complete the Main Mission, Stakeout, you'll find more Black Cat Stakeouts across Manhattan that you can investigate to find out what he's stealing, and where her hideout might be.

At a Stakeout, you can interact with the camera that's been left behind to find out what Black Cat was targeting - which is always marked by her calling card of a small black cat toy, often hidden in a doorway, window, or other obscure location.

Finding the location of the toy will earn you 100XP per Stakeout, and finding all will lead you to her hideout where you'll earn a new Spider-Man Suit - the Dark Suit.

Southern Financial District

You can find this hidden cat on the roof a triangular building closest to you, just to the right of where you start out looking from. The cat is on a green tiled roof right in front of a small mural of Black Cat, located in a roof vent that's slightly ajar.

Eastern Financial District

The hidden cat in this Stakeout is located to the right and a bit up from your starting view point. It can be found below a large billboard that has Black Cat's face on it, in a slightly open roof vent below and behind the giant billboard.

Chinatown

This particular hidden cat is located to the right of your initial viewing point, along a low rooftop of a red brick building, with the walls behind it covered in grafiiti. The cat itself is hiding in the pyramid-shaped ceiling window on the left, which is slightly open.

Central Greenwich

This cat is part of the main Stakeout mission in the story. It can be found down to the left of your initial viewpoint, on a low rooftop to the right of a water tower, and to the left of a large mural of Black Cat. The cat itself is hiding in a slightly open door between the mural and water tower.

Southern Greenwich

This cat can be hard to find, as it's located off in the background to the left of your initial viewpoint. It can be found on a small red brick apartment building's rooftop that features two trees and orange umbrella tables. The cat itself is in the doorway of a tiny rooftop entrance in between two trash cans.

Southern Hell's Kitchen

You can find this cat location just up and slightly right from your starting point, as its located on a rooftop backed by grafiiti-filled walls and below several cranes. The cat is located against the wall of the roof on the left side, where a vent is slightly open and exposing the toy.

Northern Hell's Kitchen

Unlike most Stakeouts, the cat in this location is located near the streets below, down and to the right of your starting viewpoint. Just above the storefront is a mural of Black Cat's face, and the toy can be found in the store window at street level.

Southern Midtown

You can find this cat's location to the right of your initial viewpoint, on a low rooftop patio, just beow a mural of Black Cat's face. The cat toy can be found at the entrance to the rooftop patio in a slightly open door.

Northern Midtown

This cat location is slightly to the right and far down from your starting viewpoint. It can be found on a low rooftop overlooking a large plaza below, and is just to the right of a water tower. The cat itself is found below a mural of Black Cat's face, in an open door leading to the rooftop entrance to the building.

Upper East Side

This black cat toy can be found straight down from your starting point, on the roof of the green-domed building on the right side. Look for a mural of Black Cat on the right side of the building's walls, and you'll find the cat peeking out of a door to the left of the mural, leading into the building.

Upper West Side

This cat can be found straight up from your initial viewpoint, above a rooftop pool on the higher roof of the building behind it. You can find the cat by zooming in on the red building's roof above the pool and looking for a slightly open roof vent between two skylights where the cat is peeking out of.

Harlem

This cat can be found to the right of your starting point, across the street from the apartment complex and on a small building in front of a much taller building. A drawing of a diamond has been stenciled on the roof of this building, and to the right is a slightly opened door with Black Cat's face drawn on it, and the toy cat is peeking out of that same door.
